About Me Projects Publications Resume Links

I am a PhD student at the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department of University of California, San Diego (UCSD). I work with Professor Sujit Dey at the Mobile Systems Design and Test Lab, UCSD. Topics that interest me include Data Mining, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Recommender Systems and Signal Processing. For my undergraduate studies, I was at the Electrical Engineering department of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras). Over the past few years I've had the opportunity to work with scientists from several research labs including Yahoo Labs, Symantec Research Labs, Samsung Research. Please see my resume for publications and for other work related details.

Stuff I like spending time and other resources on includes tennis, swimming, running and hiking. Living in San Diego has its advantage. I pride myself on having a long wishlist. As of now, that would be learning guitar, drums, surfing, horse-riding, tennis, boxing, whistling, giving preliminary belt examinations for Taekwondo , and learning to play piano with both hands.. sigh.
