Computing infrastructure:

MESDAT labs is equipped with 4 Desktop Linux Workstions (Dell and Compaq), 6 Sun Ultra 10 Desktop Workstations, a Dell Poweredge 700 linux server, a Sun Enterprise 250 File Server (dual processor), several desktop PCs/laptops, a HP Laser Jet 8000N printer, and a Canon Multi Pass Scanner/Copier/Printer.

Experimental test bed infrastructure:

• PDAs: 5 Compaq iPAQs (5000 series), and 2 Palm VII handhelds
• Prototyping board for Altera's Excalibur programmable SoC
• Programmable DC Power Supply (HP E3631a)
• DAQ 1602 PCI Data Acquisition Card

Software Infrastructure:

At MESDAT labs, we have access to state of the art design and simulation tools. These include tools for hardware synthesis (Synopsis), circuit simulation (HSpice), fault simulation, mathematical modeling and simulation (MATLAB) and network simulation (Opnet, ns).
