Short Biography:
I completed my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at UC San Diego in November
2007. I am currently working at Northrop Grumman in the Network Communications Division.
At UCSD, I worked with the Mobile and Embedded Design and Test group and was advised by Professor
Sujit Dey . My research work was affiliated with the Center for Wireless Communications (CWC).
My research interests are in link layer protocol development, Quality of Service support, and multimedia
delivery systems for wireless networks. Other areas of interest include energy-efficient protocol design, mesh/relay
networks, sensor networks, and emerging wireless technologies. More information about my research projects can be
found on my research page.
I obtained the MS degree at UC San Diego in 2003, working on energy-efficient link layer adaptations in IEEE 802.11
networks. I attended the University of Washington for my undergraduate studies and obtained the BS degree in
Computer Engineering in 2000.
Outside of work, my hobbies include learning new languages, dancing, travelling, gardening, reading, working out, and
keeping in touch with old friends. I have had the opportunity to travel to a number of places in the past few
years. Below are links to some of my favorite photos from these trips.
